Family Life International Fellowship, Inc. is a Christ-centered Family-focused Interdenominational, Interdependent International Convergence Fellowship of Churches, ministries and ministry leaders who have joined together to mutually strengthen and support the Family through the Local Christ-centered Family-focused Church internationally as a Kingdom priority. We are an apostolic and prophetic full Gospel ministry committed to the Word of God and sound Bible doctrine.

In 1996 International Vice Presiding Bishop A T Lands and Bishop Rosemary Lands organized the Family Life Missionary Baptist Church (MBC) in Greater Atlanta, Georgia. It was during this season of conversation regarding the new work in Atlanta, that God planted the seeds for a Christ-centered Family-focused International Fellowship in the Heart of Archbishop Dr. Sterling Lands II.

Formed as a fellowship in 2002 with a small group of Churches, which included Family Life MBC Atlanta, the Greater Calvary Ministries  International was launched. The scope of the ministry was increased in 2008 and renamed Family Life Bible Church International. Under the auspices of the Holy Spirit, the Fellowship was renamed the Family Life International Fellowship in 2011.

Beliefs

  1. The Family Life International Fellowship believes and upholds eternal truths revealed by God in His Son through His written Word.

  2. There is only one God, the creator, eternally existent in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

  3. Jesus Christ is God before the beginning, was manifest in the flesh, died on the cross of Calvary, buried in a borrowed grave, resurrected from the grave three days later, ascended back to Heaven, and soon to return for His Church in power and glory.

  4. Jesus became man without ceasing to be God.

  5. The Holy Spirit is God before the beginning, descended from the Father and the Son to indwell believers when Christ ascended and enables believers to live a holy life.  The Baptism of the Holy Ghost is an experience subsequent to conversion and sanctification and that tongue-speaking is the consequence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost with the manifestations of the fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22-23; Acts 10:46, 19:1-6). We believe that we are not baptized with the Holy Ghost in order to be saved (Acts 19:1-6; John 3:5). When one receives a baptismal Holy Ghost experience, we believe one will speak with a tongue unknown to oneself according to the sovereign will of Christ. To be filled with the Spirit means to be Spirit controlled as expressed by Paul in Ephesians 5:18-19.

  6. Salvation is found in Jesus Christ alone for all who come to Him by faith and repent of their sins through the transforming power of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 2:4-10; 2 Corinthians 5:21). The redemptive operation of the Holy Ghost upon sinners is brought about by repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ which brings conversion, faith, justification regeneration, sanctification, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. Repentance is the work of God, which results in a change of mind in respect to man’s relationship to God. (St. Matthew 3:1-2, 4:17; Acts 20:21). Faith is a certain conviction wrought in the heart by the Holy Spirit, as to the truth of the Gospel and a heart trust in the promises of God in Christ (Romans 1:17, 3:28; St. Matthew 9:22; Acts 26:18). Conversion is that act of God whereby He causes the regenerated sinner, in his conscious life, to turn to Him in repentance and faith (II Kings 5:15; II Chronicles 33:12-13; St. Luke 19:8, 9; Acts 8:30). Regeneration is that act of God by which the principle of the new life is implanted in man, and the governing disposition of soul is made holy and the first holy exercise of this new disposition is secured. Sanctification is that gracious and continuous operation of the Holy Ghost, by which He delivers the justified sinner from the pollution of sin, renews his whole nature in the image of God, and enables him to perform good works (Romans 6:4;5:6; Colossians 2:12; 3:1).

  7. Christ-Centered Believers are to be unified in the Spirit with an evangelistic mission, dedicated to developing Christ-centered Families, the redemptive upgrading of the community, and the highest ethics of all who claim to love the Church.

  8. The church of the Lord Jesus Christ is a body of Christ-centered believers on a mission to enlarge God’s kingdom. The Church forms a spiritual unity of which Christ is the divine head. It is animated by one Spirit, the Spirit of Christ. It professes one faith, shares one hope, and serves one King,. It is the citadel of the truth and God’s agency for communicating to believers all spiritual blessings.

  9. The believer’s baptism and the Lord’s Supper are the two ordinances of the church.

  10. The local church is autonomous, under the control and authority of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.

  11. Both the saved and the lost will be resurrected, the saved unto life, and the lost unto damnation.

  12. Personal and corporal prayer is effective both in crisis and in tranquility.

  13. The Holy Scriptures are originally given by God, divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct by which we are to order our lives, express our faith, build the family, and function as a community (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

  14. We are committed to the sanctity of marriage as ordained by God in the Holy Scripture, one biological man from birth and one biological woman from birth.

  15. We are committed to the sanctity of life from God at conception.

  16. The family is the institution of God lying at the foundation of all human society.

  17. We focus our attention and resources, to develop Christ-centered Family values and defend the family as a Kingdom priority (Gen. 1; 2; Matt. 19:5; Mark 10:6-7; 1 Tim. 5:8; Deut. 6:6-7; Ephes. 6:4).

  18. We worship in spirit and truth (John 4:23-24; Acts 17:22-24).

  19. The Church is committed to equip, empower and enable the family to use its spiritual gifts to glorify God (Rom. 12; 1 Cor. 12-13).

  20. Disciples are to be generous with their gifts, skills, talent, time, and money in the Church (1 John 3:17-18; Ezra 2:68-69; Acts 2:44-47).

  21. The Church identifies and trains Christ-centered leaders committed to strengthening the family as a Kingdom priority (Luke 22:27).

  22. Prayer is critical and powerful in our work (John 14:15-31; Luke 11:1-13).

  23. Man was created in the image of God and the sin of Adam (the first man) marred that image, creating an eternal divide between God and man resulting in every person being born in sin.

  24. We facilitate the process that helps people become more like Christ in their words, thoughts, actions,  feelings, relationships, motives, and attitudes beginning at new birth and continues throughout.

  25. Our adversary is Satan and all who align themselves with the devil including secular and carnal belief systems.

  26. There is a place for everyone to use their gifts, skills, talents, time, and treasure for the cause of Jesus Christ in the Church of Jesus Christ.

  27. The Family Life International Fellowship shares the following Basic Beliefs with other Convergence Ministries:

a. The Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as "containing all the things necessary for salvation" and        as being the rule and ultimate standard of faith.

b. The Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed.

c.  The Sacraments that Christ ordained - Baptism and the Lord’s Supper - ministered with unfailing use of                 Christ's words of institution, and the elements ordained by Him.

d. The Historic Episcopate locally adapted in the methods of its administration to the varying needs of the nations      and peoples called of God in the Unity of His Church.
